After 2 years of hard work and dedication from our Search Committee, the Discernment team, and the Consistory, we are pleased to welcome Reverand Jeff Knol and his family to HRC as our new pastor.

He is from Grand Rapids, Michigan where he grew up in the Christian Reformed Church. He attended Calvin College and majored in History and Religion. In 2012 he received a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Pastor Jeff was ordained in 2013 as the Associate Minister of the Colts Neck Reformed Church. Before ordination, Pastor Jeff served as a pastoral intern at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton; a part-time youth pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Brunswick; and as an interim Pastor at the Reformed Church in Highland Park (while their ministers were on sabbatical). He also completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at RWJ New Brunswick. While at the Colts Neck Reformed Church he taught confirmation, led a Bible Study, led the youth programming, and worked closely with the Church's mission team. For the past eight years at Blawenburg, Pastor Jeff has worked to plan and lead interfaith and intercultural events for the township of Montgomery. For four years he served the Blawenburg and Griggstown Reformed Churches in a yoked partnership. He has led the Classis' New Ministries and Evangelism team, which explores new ways to reach people with the message of God's love.

Jeff is married to his wife Jamie, who is also from West Michigan. Jamie works part-time for a local mental health therapy practice doing administrative work. They have two daughters, Margot (8) and Charlotte (6) as well as a dog (Raleigh) and two kittens (Boots and Wednesday). As a family they enjoy biking, hiking, doing arts and crafts, and eating donuts and pastries from local bakeries. In his moments of free-time, Pastor Jeff enjoys the hobby of digital and film photography.

Join us on January 26th as Pastor Jeff , along with his family, begin a new ministry at Hillsborough Reformed Church
