Credit is given to Boniface (eighth century) for bringing Christianity to Germany. It is hard to believe that Germany was once without Christianity. After all, so many scholars and Christian philosophers have come from Germany.

This is an important reminder that God manages the world and rules it his own way. God has his own way of getting things done and often chooses a method that does not take our consideration in our plans and schemes.

God's ideas are always best. The Bible says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55)

When we face life's problems, the solutions are not restricted to our abilities. God is there with us, strengthening us, holding us and at last giving us victory.

Will you pray with me? “Thanks for being the God of love and support that you are. We are your children and you have showered us with a love that endures forever. Thanks for being a God that pursues us to the ends of the earth to bring us into your kingdom. Thank you for those who brought us to the faith! Use us to tell others about you.”

We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
